Uncle Louie's Pizza

Oh you must do Louie's. We were in need of lunch traveling from Rhode Island to Ohio. We first tried a search of restaurants on Google Maps and another establishment was suggested. I got a 2nd opinion on Yelp. Uncle Louies came up near by. We immediately knew Louie's would be a step up from the Google suggestion. The hospitality was over the top, David asked where we were from since we did not sound like a local. I replied O hia' and explained how "car" is properly pronounced (not "kaar"). David, a grandson of Louis, answered all our cuisine questions, dropped off a couple sample slices and pepperoni rolls. That got our attention. Our two pies came quickly. The house specialty, a thin but not cracker crust, no grease, loaded with fresh meat and veggies pizza was a knock out. Alll agreed it was one of the best pizzas ever. The Grandma was an attempt at deep dish but less impressive. Dont take us wrong, it was still very good since we could simply eat the sauce as a soup. The pepperoni rolls were so good, we bought 1 to go along with the broccoli and spinach roll and garlic knots with sauce fo later. Our server was a delightful young gal who kept our glasses full and checked on us appropriately.

When we moved into the area years ago, we tried EVERY pizza place around and thought we would NEVER find good pizza. Well, thank goodness we finally found the good stuff at Uncle Louie's. They have the best pizza in the area, but that's not all! I have also ordered specials, and dinners, like chicken marsala. It is beyond delicious. Hearty portions of "white table cloth" quality food at reasonable prices. Their zeppole are worth the trip as well. Friendly service to stay and dine in or take out. Why cook again?

Stopped at Uncle Louies in my travels to grab a quick slice. The place is super clean and the people are very nice. Apparently they installed new booths and wanted my opinion on the decor. The booths were comfortable and the pizza was excellent. A very good slice that was above average. They offered many different types of slices as well. Looks and feels like.a great local place. I would go back for sure.

I’ve had a few large regular pies from here and it is a good go to spot but everyone should definitely get the deep dish pizza from here. Definitely the best deep dish in the area. I did call for pickup and asked for the deep dish and the person kept thinking I meant the Sicilian. But once I called it the “uncle Louie’s pizza” she knew what I was talking about. A little weird but besides that, all good.

I was in the mood for some pasta and ordered from this spot. I called in my order for a 11:50 pick up. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot. I walked in and was greeted and served by a really nice guy. I paid and left. I ordered the build your own pasta with tomato sauce, linguini and vegetables and it was pretty good. Added a little bit of hot pepper flakes for some spice. The meal was very filling as well. All in all I had a good experience.

Best Take- out experience in Bergen County (& we love eating here too!) Last night was a late game in FL so I ordered from here with a house full coming- timing was an issue & they had my food ready down to the minute!! The young lady who took my call was very kind to help me with the timing of my order & The man at the front even walked it out to me when I got caught up on a call, coordinating the kids. (Not that I plan to ask or expect them of this every time, a nice favor for sure!) It felt so special to be taken care of in this way & I'm delighted to see Small Business customer service is alive and well at Uncle Louie's! The kind help was much appreciated, thank you!!

Well, I asked if their wings were breaded. I am gluten free. The girl said no. The wings came breaded. I called back and asked if they can send a grilled chicken salad in place of the wings (we are going on vacation I have no food in the house). They send me a tiny salad with no chicken. My family enjoyed the pizza and pasta and I have lettuce. I’ll stick to Pizza Love!
